Adam joined Neuman Thompson in June of 2017 as an Associate Lawyer. Prior to joining Neuman Thompson, Adam worked as an Associate at a regional firm in Edmonton where his primary areas of practice included labour & employment, civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance, and commercial litigation.
Adam has advocated on behalf of his clients in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Canadian Human Rights Commission, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Social Security Tribunal of Canada, and the Alberta Employment Standards Branch, as well as in Canada Labour Code Arbitrations. Adam has also represented his clients in Mediations, Judicial Dispute Resolutions, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
Adam currently practices in all areas of labour and employment litigation and has additional experience in the preparation and application of employment agreements, consulting agreements, employment termination, and policy development for clients in a wide variety of sizes and industries.
Adam graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours from the University of Manitoba in 2010 and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alberta in 2013. In law school, Adam represented the University of Alberta at the Canadian Labour Arbitration Competition in Toronto, Ontario and the International Negotiation Competition in Eugene, Oregon.
Adam volunteers with the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Project at the Provincial Court in Edmonton providing pro bono legal advice to members of the Edmonton community.
Outside of the office, Adam is an avid sports fan and captains a team competing on the World Curling Tour.
