Jessica Thomson

Professional Practice

Jessica practices in all areas of labour and employment law. She provides proactive advice to employers regarding workplace legal issues in both union and non-union environments and is an effective litigator.

Jessica joined Neuman Thompson after several years as a Crown prosecutor in Edmonton where she developed extensive courtroom experience. Prior to joining the Crown’s office, Jessica was an associate with a leading criminal defence law firm and articled with a large national law firm.

In 2006, Jessica received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta. During her studies she was an editor with the Center for Constitutional Studies, taught prospective law students an LSAT preparation course and volunteered with Student Legal Services.  Jessica represented the University of Alberta at the Laskin Moot Court Competition in Constitutional and Administrative Law in French in Sherbrooke, Quebec.

Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and children.

Jessica speaks French fluently.
