Roger S. Hofer, K.C.
Roger draws on 40+ years of legal experience to address issues proactively and comprehensively.
Prior to joining Neuman Thompson, Roger articled and practiced as a civil litigator with the City of Edmonton Law Department. Commencing in 1988 his practice became focused almost exclusively on labour and employment law and on administrative law matters. He was the Head of Litigation for the City of Edmonton Law Department from 1997 to the end of 2003, when he left public service to join Neuman Thompson so as to once again focus his practice on labour and employment law. He advises and represents both public and private sector employers in labour, employment, human rights, privacy and related matters.
Roger has developed positive relationships with a great many of the lawyers in Alberta who routinely represent unions or employees. These relationships often help him facilitate early and cost-effective resolution of many disputes, and reduce the potential for time consuming and costly complications.
Roger gave up watching television in 1974, but continues to enjoy movies.
